Pakistan hand in Indian embassy attack in Kabul Afghanistan

New Delhi: A day after a powerful blast at the Indian embassy in Kabul on Thursday that killed 12 people, Indian Foreign secretary Nirupama Rao visited the Afghanistan city.

India's course of action will probably depend on which Taliban faction Afghan intelligence identifies as the embassy attackers.

Nirupama Rao said, I think the investigation should be completed and as I said whoever is responsible for this attack is against peace, is against democracy, is against the people of Afghanistan, is against the people of India.

Last year, it was the Haqqani network and this time sources say the attackers may have done a better job of covering their tracks.

Meanwhile, many former diplomats believe Pakistan gave the order for the strike for a number of reasons.

India will probably share with them intelligence on Taliban Chief Mullah Omar

If Omar is killed, Pakistan's game in Afghanistan collapses.

Islamabad sees US-India collusion in Washington's vow to target the Taliban Shura in Quetta.

Further more, the conditions in the $7 billion US aid package are another problem.

Pakistan's performance in the war against terrorism will be monitored also military acquiesance to civilian control.

The Pakistani army is not happy. It fears the collapse of its external policy leading eventually to its emasculation as the most powerful arbiter of power in Pakistan.
