This is a 12'' vinyl record single, from the album, Straight Down To Business , released in 1991.

Ready For The World (RFTW) is an R&B/Funk band from Flint, Michigan, whose members were Melvin Riley (lead vocals), John Eaton (bass guitar), Greg Potts (keyboards), Gordon Strozier (lead guitar), Willie Triplett (keyboards), Gerald Valentine (drums). Their flashy guitar play and synth-funk production drew comparisons to Prince and The Revolution, The Time, and other Minneapolis Sound groups during the mid 1980s.
RTFW's string of uptempo hits from 1985 through 1991 included 'Oh Sheila','Digital Display', 'Tonight','Long Time Coming', 'My Girly, 'Straight Down To Business','Yo That's A Lot Of Body' and the love ballards,'Tonight, 'Slide Over','Gently','Can He Do It Like This', and their classic song, 'Love You Down'. The group's image evolved from Flashy outfits with Jheri Curls in 1985 to New Jack Hip-Hop Gear and Hi-Top fades in 1991. After 1991 they almost faed into obscurity, but they reemerged in 2004 with an album, and have done a few concerts since. Melvin Riley has made a solo career for himself and released two albums: Ghetto Love in 1994, which produced his sensous love ballard hit, 'Whose Is It?', and Bedroom Stories in 2000.
