The Bozburun Peninsula is one of the few remaining untouched recreational areas around Marmaris. Better suited to those looking for some quiet time away from the bright lights and crowded streets of the larger towns, the settlements on the peninsula are much more laid back in nature. An important stopover area for yachts, the region is best known for the construction of traditional Turkish wooden boats called gulets. The waterfall at Turgut, underwater walkway at Orhaniye, the monument trees at Bayır, the sea itself all around the coastline—nature on the peninsula has a lot to offer. Relaxation is definitely guaranteed.
