Just before he is about to be shot and killed in cold-blood by William Munny (Clint Eastwood) in the film, "Unforgiven," the Sheriff (Gene Hackman), another violent and brutal man, says, "I don't deserve this,...to die like this. I was building a house." In the midst of a great modern western, certain troubling questions are presented. Is there truly a difference between "good" violent men and "bad" ones, or will they all in up in "hell" together? Can the "unforgiven" find any sort of redemption through violence and brutality. Strange paradoxes exist in the lives of such people and the world they have created. The film, "Unforgiven," is truly great for its story, directing and acting as it deglamourizes violence in a film genre known for doing the opposite. Unforgiven - A Greatest Fight Scene -
