I don't know about you, but I'm SICK of religion thrusting itself upon us; have religion if you must, but make it a private, personal thing, not something all the rest of us must participate in TOO.

The funny thing is, they'll swear up and down that *they're* the ones being persecuted (because they can't impose with impunity). I think that if they actually got what they wanted, it would turn into their own worst nightmare. It's funny how they usually march to the "smaller government" mantra, unless the government is in their favor...then they're all for it.

I think you should have added that "Under God" wasn't put into the Pledge until 1956. And even then, it wasn't put in for more reason than to make communism look worse in the eyes of Americans more so than it already was.
