I was DAFB HG and we did all the Dignified Transfers no matter what time it was. It might not be so obvious now since we cant wear the HG hat with our ABU.

hey.. is the honor guardsman standing with the family the same one in the video demonstrating the guarding of the tomb of the unknown soldiers? I think it is. well done young man

I did forensics @ Dover, and it is true honor guards do not normally do dignified transfers, however the purpose of this video was to visually demonstrate to the civilians that their loved ones are returning with dignity and respect and above all gratefulness for their sacrifice. of course military personnel would see the small mistakes, we always police ourselves. Loved the video. God Bless

Just to let everyone know, it is very unusual for the DAFB Honor Guard to do dignified transfers. They are more often employed at funerals. For the most part, it is the air transportation airmen who do the job. These people have the dirty, back-breaking job of pushing pallets, but at Dover, they always maintain a clean, sharply-pressed uniform at work to wear if they need to do a dignified transfer. It's a job they, and the whole base, takes very seriously.

There was a lot more than just a couple. Couldn't take much more of that guy's command voice, if I were to hear him call "CENTER" like that one more time I would've stabbed a pencil into my ear drum. The carry actually looked good, 'cept for the Airman at D.A. Of course everything was "over done" like always, and the ring around the rosey up in the plane was pretty cute. I guess my question is, how much did this unecessary video cost? 100% sure the money would have been better spent...

To king and crisp..with all due respect since I do not even know if you have served in the Military, what makes you qualified to evaluate my brothers and sisters in uniform? If you can only see mistakes, and cannot see the outstanding job this Honor Guard did, then just keep your pieholes shut.
