Here is an example of the tune Gold Rush. It's in the key of A played out of the G position so put your capo on the second fret.

The video goes through the tune once fast, once slow and closes out with an example of what could be played as accompaniment.

  • I like this a lot, but I prefer the version that throws the e-minor in the chorus

  • I have just started picking and love these vidios they are a great learning tool and most inspirational thank for shearing your talent god bless

  • Love these picking patterns you're doing--I play guitar but am not so great at picking out the melodies=and I write songs and have performed in front of hundreds before and many songwriter's venues---just stick to my chords and simple melody runs--but I need to advance my ability to play melodies as I'm playing---ha!

  • @ludwigtrap Good choice. H.264 is the only way to go.

  • i guess ill be the person that leaves the newest comment but thats awsome i hardley can play 1 cord i suck at it i wish i could play like you but keep up the great work!!!

  • Awesome lesson! keep em coming.

  • I wish i had something like this when i started playing in the 70s. Spread the word : )
