This video focuses on the evolution of hearing and the evolution of ears from early amphibians to modern mammals. While by no means comprehensive, it should hopefully give you a general idea about how ears work and how they developed. I acknowledge that there may some mistakes in this video, which I can hopefully correct using annotations. I apologize for the robotic-sounding, voice-synthesized narration. My microphone is crap! Comment, rate, share and enjoy!
Note: I have taken care that (hopefully) all images and video clips in this video were taken from public-domain and free-use sources. The narration is that of my own work and sources can be found at: http://evolvingsenses.blogspot.com/
Sooo...Merely stating "probably began in devonian period" or "amphibians had a more simpler hearing function" isn't an explanation. Again, stating "the basilar papilla developed from the hearing organ of amphibians, by the time reptiles appeared these hearing organs were increasing in complexity" "the outer ear developed after the inner ear in mammals". WHERE is the evidence? What samples do we have of mammals before this happened? Evolution theory would cease if soft tissue fossilized.

pretty good, but would it have killed it to actually read the text out yourselves?
