I was eighteen when I lost my father, he had been ill for several years before that.. I listened to this song the day I burried him.. The words ripped through me then as they do now twenty years on !! Older and wiser I still feel that time is not asd great a healer as everone promised it would be, just gets numb and hides in the back of your heart forever x

Bought the rebel album all those years ,this song is so sad .Wonder is it about somebody in real life ,autobiographical ?
''when you loose somone so young , how do you start again '' ? He sings it with such sincerity

I didnt get a chance to have many memories with him. Yet i still cry myself to sleep at night. Time isnt a healer.

4 a friend...
I was Johns first tour manager on his debut UK tour, I was working for his manager Cliff Cooper who owned Orange Music, makers of great sounding amplifiers. I remember the demo that got his record deal, it was "Music" , Gordon Parry and I introduced him and Cliff Cooper to Alan Parsons. and the rest is history.
