No additional tax is needed if it is spend on healthcare and insurance directly instead of via the for-profit middle-men that are the HMOs.
For-profit insurance would still be an option, but those would have to do without government subsidies.

Finally, some sensible talk out of congress. Alas, it falls upon deaf ears.

I am a supporter of HR676 as well. Time for the politicans to pass some form of single-payer healthcare and now.
Dems should realize that many of the supporters of singlepayer will remember their bull at the midterms

Tax me like the French? its not that dramatic. From what I understand the additional taxes you pay, is less then what your currently paying to private insurance. France pays around 3.4k per person on Health care, we are already spending 4K of taxpayer money Plus 2.7k of private money on health care.
So we are already spending about twice what France spends per person, and we rank 37th and they rank 1st.
Its time to make our money worth it and jump on single payer.

Tax Me Like The French and give ALL people HR676 NOW Dont Let another person die for nothing ! I am a Health Care VOTER ! Watch Stan Brock on YT giving away health care in Rual America
Listen to what he says...It's the most popular...it's a political necessity.
For Chrissake! Take the health insurance gun away from America's head. Single payer, we've already won, it has to happen. The Government (us) needs to take care of it's people, not the for profit health insurance industry. Health care costs are at record numbers. Insurance company CEO's have had their day, and it's time to move forward. Everybody in Nobody out. God bless America.
