Greening the Capitol

In advance of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, and Congressman Peter Welch discussed the Green the Capitol initiative and unveiled a new energy efficient LED lighting system in the Rayburn Cafeteria this morning. In 2007, Speaker Pelosi established the Green the Capitol program to make the U.S. House of Representatives a national leader in energy efficiency and conservation.

@lancestar2 You haven't been to a school in years, have you? There are no Coke products there anymore. Both Coke and congress have taken measures to be sure that the schools sell nothing edible between a ban on sugar laced products and yet another cut in school budgets.

I would love to see this crazy woman voted out of office in November. Unfortunately she is from California. Those people are such screwballs, I would not be surprised if she gets re-elected. My advice: Do not re-elect anyone, no matter where you're from. Vote the bums out!

@lancestar2 sorry made a error 60% increase of the use of the drug in the last 5 years i think imma look into this more later! kinda busy now but also read a story about the increasing miss use of the drug! how kids are using it to get high! very converning to have such a dangerous drug so widly used and miss handeled!

but the general public is to LAZY to get involved very much besides watching the campain ads that only the canidates who have the most funds (throu the big companys and huge cash donners) just walk inside a school and you will see either pepsi or coke products and because there so pumped up on sugar we feed them ADHD drugs of course the is a SMALL percent of students who actually need the drug but not 60% (current amount of kids who use the drug) ...pretty sad if you look at the bigger picture..
