Bandtraxs perform "Detroit (city by the river) a rhythmic piece of danceable soul funk with overtones from the 1960 & 70s. The original song concept was written in London, October 2004 and made its final journey to Detroit, Michigan for completion last year. Dennis Coffey and Carl Dixon produced the track for Bandtraxs Productions at Studio A, Dearborn Heights, Detroit. The arrangement was by the renowned David van de Pitte and in addition the track features some legendary session musicians from the heart and soul of the city. This version features two outstanding sax solos by George Katsakis from the legendary Detroit group The Royaltones and Gil Bridges from Rare Earth. The pedigree gets better as Spyder Turner and Pree both played an important role in providing the vocal and song arranging talent to make this project work as well as being co writers of the song.
Very Player's Association!
