I just get a little ticked off when Coca Cola or Dove or any other big company pretends to care about something besides making lots of money. They don't care...they only attempt to adopt your values in order to get you to buy things.

Brands are lame, corporations have no conscience, this is just how it is.

  • Why on earth did they put a picture of Emma Watson on the cover of that soft-porn magazine? She is the complete antithesis of the degradation of women that it promotes!

  • well for most people the rage against the machine thing was more about being opposed to how the X factor always wins as opposed to a broader message about the music industry. That said, i believe that for some it was also a hint that they don't like the music that we expect to see in the charts.

  • We learned about this in art class!

  • Oh man, this may have been brought up before, but Unilever also has the brand "Fair and Lovely"-a skin lightening product..ugh. Great vid!

  • Aww, the way he says McElderry <3 Mc-Ell-Dree

  • Ohhh, hypocrisy! Like hypocrism. Got it, got it.

  • You know who was a shoe-in for the highest selling artist for the UK christmas charts?

    Alex Day.

  • Seeing that Buffy poster in the background made me so happy. Nerdfighters!

  • @kateclaudia She wasn't on the cover... was she? I couldn't see her.

  • maccelderry :)

  • I don't often disagree with you Hank, and I REALLY apreciate being informed on these things, but I can't help but wonder If we all started buying "indie" brands, that those brands would no longer be indie and start building up their own empires. And if we avoided dove because of axe, would we be any better off?

  • I loved the fact that another band beat X Factor to Christmas number one but I kind of wished that Joe McElderry hadn't been the winner that year because a lot of the rage in the campaign went towards him instead of Simon Cowell and the other producers of the X Factor and Joe, despite having been on that piece of crap they call television, actually seems like a nice guy...
