Actually, I take that back - I had a bad experience on the west side of West Lake - a couple of knuckleheads came in with guns one of the times I was there and ripped a campsite into a place there was none on the lake and caused a small forest fire when they did not put out their fire properly and the rich topsoil burned - plus they were shooting their guns like rednecks and destroying the peace and tranquility of the place. I was PISSED.

You ever been to Brooktrout Lake and West Lake in the West Canada Lakes Wilderness? SPECTACULAR!
How about the Siames Ponds?

No I haven't, I've done very little in the WCL Wilderness. I have been on a little hike in the Siamese Ponds Wilderness, but not the actual ponds themselves.
