We use it daily, and agree it is awesome. But it is not yet a "virtual assistant" but a good search assistant that happens to have a few voice controls.

Just tried it, and Google Now set an "Alarm". As stated, Google Now cannot schedule appointments, nor detect appointment conflicts like the virtual assistants Siri and S Voice. We hope this will soon.

High end Android phones are for power users who don't want to be as limited to what the software of their OS can do.

iOS is still fluid and has seemed to be a 1st priority to app devs and the hardware is awesome but I think most power users would sacrifice hardware for better software.

IHere's a simple example of why Android is easier to use.

Complete the following use case using both iPhone 5 and SGS3.

Use case: Open a mapping application (Google Maps or Apple Maps)

3 Required Tasks: a) Turn on GPS, b) Increase brightness, c) Open map app.

SGS3: Go to notification bar, use toggles to enable GPS brightness to 50%, close notification bar, click on Maps. Total number of actions = 5:

iPhone: Total number of actions = a lot more. No widgets or toggles.

This is real.
