APEC agrees to reform World Bank and IMF

World leaders attending the APEC summit in Peru have approved plans to reform the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank and agreed on a one year-long moratorium on new barriers to world trade and investment. They are meeting to plan a way out of the world financial crisis and say they are committed to the principles of free trade.

We gotta get rid of the intransparency in the banking system and abolish fiat currencies. The money and credit base needs to be stable. This crisis exists due to the excessive manipulation of the economy from the financial institutions which is distorting the hell out of the real economy. The financial institutions dont facilitate trade they dominate and control it. You wont have real changes in this front though because the establishment is deliberately causing this crisis for further control.

IMF and World Bank board of directors run on a "one dollar, one vote" system, which must change. Also, corporations need to be more accountable for their actions, since they are privately owned and concealed. Good joke. But somewhat you are right. Though USSR mostly tried to influence area of straight interests. Caribbean crisis is just an exception, answer to US missiles in Turkey. Aphganistan was a big mistake. But at least it was close to USSR and their civil war could spread to other regions. USSR was a Shrek and US is glamour handsome villain. :)
