@RevengeofShinobi1 @pyraplastic I think the fracturing of genres was a good thing in the long run. I know as a direct result of it, I found hard acid trance and techno, whereas before I was only jumping to hardcore. The crossover sounds of 93 were some of my favourites, with the beats getting darker and more complex. I agree on the happy stuff, but that didnt really gain traction for another year, 94-98 were the years of Happy Hardcore imho, I still feel blessed to have been a part of the scene

True but 93 was a mixed year. Some great music, great year for drum & bass. People knew the scene was ending, 93 was the last good year.

as much as i love my old hardcore, fantazia were getting too mainstream in 93.the start of when hardcore went from dark beats to happy hardcore with 4 on the floor beat nonsense.best years were 1990-92
