  • Where do I get Journal?

  • Journal is provided for free as part of Windows XP and Windows Vista. In non Tablet PC versions of XP it can be downloaded as a free viewer. It is available as part of all versions of Windows Vista (excluding Home Basic... maybe) as a full featured application. With Vista, you don't need a Tablet PC in order to use it.

  • he says 'fuck that' at 2:56...

  • @theovergamer You need windows seven ultimate for Journal

  • Lulz... I thought i saw slut on the opening screen.

  • @rader55555 its dyknow. im not too sure exactly what it is. it seems like its a software that the entire classroom would use. the professors or teacher communicate with the students in chatrooms. teacher kinda have control over the students' computers

  • What is dyno?

  • As for battery life I agree, its such a hassle to continually fuzz over it the whole time your carrying a tablet. Anywho . . . . Just had to cut down on the crap ware thats installed in a tablet, Im talking just keeping it to a bare minimum, around 20-25 processes only. I have my tablet setup and it lasts a good 5 hours, give or take . . . . .

  • I tried using my table to study from and take notes but I found that it was unreliable (sometimes would crash for no apparent reason), inconvenient (turn it on and open programs to go over some notes / make sure it was charged enough) and just didn't work out as I had hoped. What it IS great for is reading documents in tablet mode and using as a backup in case you forget your notes. It is nice for fast talking professors also. However, for me, nothing beats paper notes to study from.

You don't "get" Journal. If you are running Win. XP or higher it comes installed. If however, you are running Mac/Unix there are Open-Source alternatives available. SpeedSTUG has done some research into these, and hopes to produce an episode about them when schedules allow.

P.S. Thanks for the interest in our videos.
