How long does the operation last I wonder? Also stupid question, but what happens if you need to go to the bathroom? And do you get to have a break for lunch? I can't imagine just sitting there all day while those technicians insert the grafts. Presumably you are under some sort of local anaesthesia ?

@juandenz2008 Thank you for your question. Because hair transplants are done under local anesthesia, you can use the bathroom and take a break at any time. With the Ouchless Needle, you don't feel the local anesthesia so the whole process is very comfortable--even though it takes many hours. Patients pass the time by watching movies, listening to music or taking a nap. As far as lunch goes, we bring it in for you... your choice--from burgers to sushi! I think @Nalts had a meatball sub. :)

@junglemage666 Good catch! This patient lost hair in the non-transplanted area because he was NOT on Propecia or other non-invasive treatments, which were recommended! He eventually will need another hair transplant to fill in those areas. The best treatment is combination treatment! In the hair transplant, the transplanted hair is permanent, it's taken from the back of the scalp, not the top of the head.
