  • My Father was in a motorcycle crash on July 1st. It put him in a coma due to severe brain injury until the beginning of September. When he woke he had to be placed into a nursing home. He no longer remembers me or my brothers. If anything in this world can make me remember who he was, it's this song. It takes me to a place that I know we will never be again. I'm 22 years old and never needed my father more. I still have hope that he will regain his memory but I know that he'll never be the same.

  • this has got to be the best version of this song its sad its such a pain in the ass to find

  • @ginoandmiranda

This is a great song. Im proably close to your fathers age . Nods, 22 years young/old U are. . On the flip side of the coin . He survived and woke from a coma .. in his mind ..yet alone and lost from any memories. That would be most scarey . Im sure he has never needed U more even if it does not seem so . Dont give up or lose hope . bless u

  • i dont know how it feels to have a father in my life and i am 49.riding gives me a freedom from it all.hope your dad gets better friend

  • @ginoandmiranda God bless you and your dad. It's hard, but be strong. This song must just tear you up, baby. I can't even listen to songs that remind me of my daddy.

  • Best version by far. Love that mournful slide guitar--like hearing the ghost of brother Duane in the background.

  • @ginoandmiranda I`ll keep your Father in my prayers
