I got one of these from Ebay for less than $8 including shipping.. pretty impressive. It didn't give a lumen rating, which is good really. no false high expectations. it is pretty darn bright, focuses very well and has a further throw with a narrower beam than even my Coast H7. It's not as bright overall though, The Coast is 140lm, I estimate this one at about 80-100, but that's DAM good for an $8 light. Plus the one I got has a nice red LED glow light in the back as a tail light...Nice.

Hi, very nice review. I´m thinking of buying one of these headlamps and I noticed that CREE also produces these models in olive collor and these are a bit more expensive than the black-red ones. Vendors claim that both have a CREE P4-WC LED inside, so do you think the light output is the same, or those olive and more expensive lamps provide greater light output? Thanks ;)

It's hard to say unless you're holding the light in front of you. My experience has been that unless I get to try the product, you'll never be sure of what you'll get. Plus keep in mind that most manufacturer's fudge a bit. I have not had any experience with the light you're mentioning so I can't give you my opinion about them. Thanks
