@PatsRbest US companies aren't the only ones getting contracts in Iraq. We didn't blame Iraq for 911; we blame terrorists for that, and Saddam was one of those countries supporting those radicals. The Iraq war was a mistake as the pretext was wrong as there was not WMD. Do remember, though, that Saddam also used that very mistake and made the US think he had WMD to deter his neighbors, not realizing that Bush II would conquer him. Again, this is politics, not corruption. Know the difference.

@PatsRbest We lost the VN war b/c of superior VC war politics and tactics, and of the incompetence of South VN. Instigating wars to sell weapons is not corruption, but dirty business, which is beyond what we have been discussing. To enlighten you, the US, Russia, & China are the leaders in selling weapons. If you find that your VC gov't is clean and that VN is the best place for you, then so be it. You are entitled to your opinion. Suit yourself.
