Birdy flying his Feral Gyrocopter, Part 2

Birdy uses his gyrocopter to "muster" (round up) cattle on a cattle station in Australia. Rob Dubin stopped by for a visit and filmed Birdy doing some demo flying. This is a clip where they mounted the video camera on the gyro to do some flying. Birdy is a professional pilot and the manuevers you see should not be attempted by novice pilots. @extere I'm not sure what the gyro started out as. It has been modified by the owner. A lot of it is custom built for his use.

Say Birdy.. might be a good idea if you get them rotors in for an x ray.. lotsa stress there mate..

This looks like a Benson with a stabiliser.. and Ali blades i assume.. cant imagine what sorta tricks you would get up to with some softer Carbon blades.. good on ya mate..

Ha Ha. True Aussie. Wether mowing the yard, using an axe, walking in the scrub or flying a gyro the only suitable foot wear is a pair of black double plugger thongs. Good on ya mate.

of all of the videos on youtube with gyros this one and part one are probably the best two if a person has a mind to learn abit about flying this machine. The sounds of the gyro and movements of the pedal in concert can start a fan in the right direction.
