I read about this in Nick Thorpe's book '89 - The Unfinished Revolution'... People were protesting against the newly elected Socalist government who lied and apologised afterwards about the Hungarian economy to get into office. The tank was on display to cellebrate the 1956 Hungarian uprising, and a man managed to start it up then ram it into the riot police and their water-cannons. The police were bedaffled, however they were acting inhumane...

@kt38138 This was in Hungary, the reason for the riots was the prime minister's (Ferenc Gyurcsány) speech that was recorded on tape when he admitted in 2006 May, that I quote "we failed, we lied to the people for the past 2 and a half years, we screwed up" well thats the part I remember.In 2006 on october 23rd it was the 100th anniversary of the 1956 revolution, and it was more than enough for people to start rioting. The tank was stolen from a museum, and at the end of the video ran out of gas
