That guy was a low life for putting those rescuers at risk then acting like it was no big deal and they could just let him get up and walk away. He should be banned from the park for life period

We had to pull a guy a guy off of El Cap in about '95 who was acting the same way and even reeked of what I though was booze. We found out later that he was having a diabetic episode of some form. ...and he had broken his ankle and was going into shock. good times...

Man, climbers hate to hear the 'whumpwhumpwhump" of a rescue chopper. I was climbing on Royal Arches when I saw a guy hurtle by me about fifty yards to my left. First and last time I saw a guy fall. We were only two pitches from the top, and I talked to the climbers he was with, and they said he had fallen, and the pro popped. I asked who was belaying him, and they said he wasn't on belay. Jeez. I fell once, and had my top pro pop loose, but my belay saved me. Thanks. Bill! climb right, or don't
