Ultimate torque arm for hub motor

I'm explaining how to renforce the actual dropout of the bicycle that are to be transformed into an electric bike.

These are my own torque arms desing made of special order ultra hard steel 100 000psi rated. By using these, the hub motor axel will hold in place without damaging your dropout.

Using weld steal to steal is good, using screw and nuts is good and EPOXy is good too IF YOU KNOW HOW TO APPLY IT CORRECTLY.

For those who doubt about the 3M DP420 epoxy, please watch my video of my ebike towing a 14000 pounds bus.. and think about it.. it's that epoxy that retain the axel of my hub motor ! !

I wouldn''t trust the epoxy and would have done the steel to steel with a proper tig welder. You are dealing with a critical part so you go for a overkill on the torque arm but underkill on the attachement. Be carefull.

@turbotrana The torque arm steel is made to avoid the deformation that could be caused by the axel, that's it I can ensure you that after using 15000Watts on these motor and 4000Watts of regen, making the axel working in both direction, that the 3M scotcherld epoxy IS the simple and efficient solution. it's average of 4000psi shear strengh and the surface of the torque arm is aroud 2 sqrt inchs so that's 8000pounds max you can get of shear resistance. please rear about it.. Vraiment tripant la video, je suis mécano au Mathieu Performance jespère te voir cette été, moi aussi je rêve d'un monde sans pétrole, je suis tanner de respirer de la boucane et j'ai très hate de me concocté une petite machine de guerre électrique, j'y travail c'est jour ci. you would figure that with all us high power hub motors that someone would of thought of doing this years ago, finally you did, can't wait to get the torque arms for the trike and use regen!

i will go with the epoxy as it is truly amazing what that stuff can do, and i will not risk messing up the weld
