Randy Newman plus Dr. John equals incredible! I was born and raised in New Orleans and this song is perfect! The lyrics are very true. Come on down to New Orleans and see for yourself. I can't wait for this movie!:)

I don't know why people have such a problem with Newman composing these songs...from what I've heard so far, I find that his style is extremeley appropriate.

The film is set in the 1920's.
Randy's style is PERFECT for the movie's music.

i think the characters will sing as anika is a broadway tony win star look at all the other girls that voice the other princess they did stage work some princess had one voice actor and proper singer but its easy just get stay musical stars as they are trained singers/actors Kristin Chenoweth another tony winner will be Rapunzel (a film thats been in producion sense 2004)

i hope they add dance scenes in the film like The Charleston dance the 20s was all about flapper girls/jazz music & charleston there've added in everything esle why not the dance which was developed by African-Americans white people took it i love the 20's era and disney princess films both together in one AMAZING would be nice for people to find more 'bout that era, how most of 20s was made buy afican amercian Alans too contemporary randy will add great jazz music and still in disneys style

I think there are a few dance numbers int he film. There's a couple moments in the trailer where you see people dancing to Jazz in the street

But yeah, I agree with you on Alan Menken. His stuff is really good, but his stuff is a bit recognizable by this point. And Newman is the perfect choice for this film.

he fix perfectly i was sad when alan wasn't doing this but at the time they was making this film he made music for "enchanted" this bout black people if you gonna do a musical have music they made jazz/soul/blues/RnB/ragge, if alan did the songs they just wouldn't fit this is set in the 20's(the jazz age)New Orleans were jazz musics from MOST popular music came in US thats why set there if its made in jamacia the story wouldn't fit randys music's more desrved sound alans music alway the same to
