I'm realizing only now it was just a Canadian hit (according to Wikipedia). I was 15, 16 when it came out, and though my musical tastes will forever remain in the 70s, I'm starting to have fond memories of the odd 80s song, and assumed at the time it was a hit in the Us. But now realizing it wasn't. But I swore I was listening to a Casey Casem top 40 1984 rerun the other week (which I actually remember working in my father's corner store, weird ) So was it in America?

Her real name was "Melanie" .. but they changed her name to protect the guilty.

#1 Some boys were so abused when they were young that they would mentally create another "person" to deal with the horror that they live through on a daily basis. Sometimes their feelings turn off and they feel nothing.

Females do this also and I have when I reach my "breaking point." Then I live like I am on automatic pilot. I am not aware of what I am doing at times. I lose blocks of time. So I can understand why these males sometimes act like they do. It is wrong but it happens.
