SAMOAN WARRIORS & CHANT

@uterang It was an enactment of what the tribesmen used to do. Those days, Samoans lived by the law of the war club, sought every excuse to make war. Those days warriors were camping in rainforests & foraging for food, living on whatever they could find while war raged on. Samoans also carried out amphibious attacks, which were at times a tactic used to trap the enemy between land and sea, while the head of the fallen was carried off as a trophy. A well known ancestor of mine used to do this.

I am Hawaiian and surely through my ancestors many generations back I am of Samoan heritage. I am grateful to have learned about Tu'i Manu'a, Malie Toa and other great Warriors of Samoa. I dont assume to know fully what Fa'a Samoa is, but I believe it is why the People and culture of your islands are alive and flourishing and representing Big Time on the world scene. Soon the Kanaka Maoli of Hawaii will cease to exist, Never let Samoa suffer the same fate. Keep Fa'a Samoa strong. Fa'a Fetai.

@samoanballer50 ...Yeah, I agree. I just posted on another Samoan video saying that exact same thing. We really need to get back to our music roots 'cause this reggae/hip hop/rap ain't our music. Samoan/polynesian pride!!!

Thank you for sharing this ... My dad's family comes from Manu'a! I recognize that Tui Manu'a Picture. It's in the family album. I don't really know too much about Manu'a ... but I hear that life is really beautiful! One Love

@ajulutu they also say that Tui Manu'a Anciently ruled Tonga and other islands across the ocean I kind of figure thats why they said he was the ruler of the ocean lol but yeah uso Samoans & Tongans are the same people separated by War.

@ajulutu well my grandparents state that Tui Manu'a Anciently ruled the ocean and that the Manu'a Islands of Samoa were considered sacred to not only Samoans but Tongans as well. I just asked them now what do they mean when they say he ruled the Ocean and they said when they were young they heard Legends about Tui Manu'a in Tonga one of the legends deals with Maui who went to Tui Manu'a in Samoa to receive power from Tui Manu'a or something to create the Tonga Islands its hard translating lol
Malie Haamoa! I never really seen a picture of Tui Manu'a until now, but I have heard alot about him from my grandparents they referred to him as the ruler of the ocean etc....... Nice Video Sole
