@ps3forevera both audio supports run the 5.1 doldy surround sound and also the 7.1 LPCM surround. Now all of that being said the xbox has been the most favored system of all time but the tech specs do show that the xbox and ps3 are basically very close but the ps3 does barely beat it. So all in all it mainly comes down to a personal opinion mine being the xbox just because all my friends own one and im the only one with a ps3 but i still play the ps3 online from time to time. so thats it i guess

@ps3forevera the backwards compatibility of the ps3 early systems alows ps2 and ps1 games but newer models dont were as the xbox can play nearly every old xbox game. Now the newer xbox models come with built in wifi were as the ps3 new and old models came with it which is why many people favored ps3 for its wifi connectivity but now the newer xbox models also come wifi and is faster than the ps3's wifi. The ps3 however does have better controller connection because of its bluetooth 2.0.

@ps3forevera The ps3 can run games at a smoother pace rather than the xbox. The xbox has a better GPU over the ps3 but just barely and even though the xbox has a great RAM drive but the system and video RAM are shared which makes it hard to keep up with the ps3's XDR RAM which is faster than the xbox's GDDR3 RAM. Both HDD units run at 400 rpm and the ps3 offers a 320gb compared to the 250 gb that the xbox uses.

@ps3forevera Xbox has won best console overall and isnt making 20 hand held systems like sony because they know it will fail as bad as the psp and the psp go. And the first xbox was the only system to have actual successful online play and the Xbox 360 also has best online play overall. The xbox system has over 50 million users while ps3 has just over 20 million. The ps3 has a better cpu acting for better game play rather than the xbox making it more compatible with complex design games.
