Nice typewriter. By the way, did that typewriter had 2 carriage return levers? I see one on the left side of the typewriter. Strange.

I've never seen a Continental here in US. Seems to have a snappy type action. Is this machine prone to jamming typebars or were you just having an off day? Beautiful machine!

awesome vid! I like using my type wrtier for my script writing.

@altorff I love all of the unique variety of the logos and pictures that appear on some machines: the Imperial Good Companion and some LC Smiths have neat logos.

Writing and printing at the same time. Who needs computers? ;)
btw I have a typewriting machine from my grandma. Forgot the model (since I'm far from home right now, I can't check it out). I loved typing on it. The sound it makes is really great. Not like the next generation of typewriting machines - the electrical ones. They sound like a machine gun. :D What you have here is a beauty. It's sad they don't produce such things anymore. At least none that I know of.

@rbaleksandar typewriters are still manufactured in China and Taiwan (I think), but certainly not this style of heavy metal typewriters. When serviced well, they last forever and work great!

Wow! Nice Typewriter! Where were you ever able to come by such a machine?

@thecluewriter In my region (Switzerland / Germany), plenty of typewriters are available for very little money. You can check German ebay (search "Schreibmaschine") to get an idea.

Nice machine!

@jmorton528 Thank you! A nice feature of this machine (which writes very well, by the way) is the picture of the manufacturing plant, Wanderer-Werke, above the keyboard. You can see it on my website. Greetings!
