Heathergate: a response to "Guest post: Sex-positive feminism vs. anti-pornography feminism" from ZJ's girl-friend, Heather, on the ZJemptv channel:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR6cEVg72bE
http://youtu.be/RR6cEVg72bE

I found the quoted comment from Heather to be both ignorant and ironic:

"How awkward and out of place would it be to hear a heterosexual man say that he was not in fact oppressed or anything, but simply wanted to burn his hair with styling tools, then put on those crippling shoes, revealing short shorts, and daily face paint because he thinks it's sexy and therefore women think it's sexy, and he likes women and sex? No one would mistake such an individual for empowered. If it seems absurd to expect from men, then it ought to seem absurd to expect from women."

It was ignorant because there is in fact a subculture of heterosexual men who do find the big hair and colorful, revealing dress to be empowering. Remember "Hair Metal" from the '80s.

It was ironic because Heather is going out with a guy (not hetero) who has long hair and wears make-up and seems to find that "empowering" or at least enjoy it.

I am a heterosexual male and in high school I started out with a hair cut like Heathers when I was a nerd who couldn't get any attention from women. Then I started growing my own hair long and occasionally taking care of it. It actually was empowering and a certain group of women did like it -- I got far more sexual attention from women after I grew my hair and got myself a cool leather jacket and stopped wearing the clothes my parents bought me.

  • In most cases women who are intimate, or romantically involved with men, that wear make-up or dress feminine are usually bisexual and or "lesbian" making an EXCEPTION. Not all. These women fall into the minority category, because biology proves most heterosexual women desire and respect heterosexual men with masculine features. Women do respect and love men who are more dominant than passive more than looks. For that reason looks are sometimes irrelevant, when it comes to women.

You obviously have no clue to what was going on back at hotel after the concert.

  • to be honest if it was attractive for me to do so I would wear make up etc but its not if I put on make up etc I would be looked at as a freak

  • @Etheoma "if it was attractive for me to do so I would wear make up"

    Are you male or female?

Not what I said. I said you couldn't tell the difference between illiterate "agenda driven propaganda" and real sociology.

I dare you to find a real sociological study that uses the term "minority" the way you used it, to refer to all women.

  • @zarkoff45 So I think that your claim that I have "no clue" is just a simple case of miscommunication =) Not only that but is it really a secret what happens back at the hotels after some concert? Just like it isn't a secret to know what happens at hotels after a high school prom. It's pretty obvious.

  • Anybody else expecting Facts of Life or Family Ties from the thumbnail ;3

  • I believe that most pop stars that are men, who do dress, put on make up, style their hair, and have female characteristics do the things they do is because they think women love it. Like the creator of this video says, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Women love men who are doing something they are passionate about, men that are good with their hands, & men who are powerful and successful. All of which rockstars & pop stars qualify for.

  • @sWeepingsAnd

You are blocked. You have contributed nothing but baseless insults.

  • @BobChaos23 As opposed to BobChaos23, who denies all known facts so that he can live out his backwards animalistic ideology.

    go live in a cave!
