Oh yea - These Eyes by Burton Cummings & Guess Who! It does sound like that but that's not what I'm thinkin of. Something more motownish.

This is one of my new favs.. I think the opening sounds like the song that has the words - these eyes have seen a lot of love but they're never gonna see another love like they have with you.
