Kiss II by Lloyd Cross

This is a film I made of "Kiss II" (1974), an integral hologram produced by Lloyd Cross, inventor of the process. The hologram - which was made from approximately 360 frames of motion picture footage - was typically mounted in a semi-circular, wall-mounted display and illuminated by a single light bulb below. The floating, 3-dimensional image of Pam Brazier blows a kiss and winks as the viewer walks by.

The jazzman is Dizzie Gillepsie.


C'est une vidéo que j'ai faite de "Kiss II" (1974), un hologramme, produit par Lloyd Cross, l'inventeur du procédé. L'hologramme - qui a été fait à partir d'environ 360 images sur film cinématographique - est généralement monté sur un écran semi-circulaire éclairé par une seule ampoule électrique en dessous. L'image flottante de Pam Brazier envoie un baiser et fait un clin d'œil tandis que le spectateur passe.

Le jazzman est Dizzie Gillepsie.

Trés jolie! J'ai vu les deux, dans d'autres exhibitions. Ça fait dejá longtemps, pas que l'holographie avait pratiquement disparu dans l'actualité.
