On November 4, 2008, Barack Obama became the President-Elect of the United States. He won two-thirds of the electoral votes, but how did he do with the American people? Even in the states that went blue, many voters wanted more than bumper sticker slogans.

In this video, the states that went blue for Obama in 2008 are highlighted to show how many people in that state voted the other way, for the McCain-Palin ticket, and some of the things that they said by doing so.

To finish the video, potential 2012 Republican candidates are named. These candidates include: Alaska Governor and 2008 Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin, former Massachusetts Governor and 2008 Republican Presidential nomination candidate Mitt Romney, former Arkansas Governor and 2008 Republican Presidential nomination candidate Mike Huckabee, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, former Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, Indiana U.S. Representative Mike Pence, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, Wisconsin U.S. Representative Paul Ryan, South Dakota U.S. Senator John Thune, Virginia U.S. Representative Eric Cantor, former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele, and Florida Governor Charlie Crist.

  • i don't think obama won Indiana.

  • Unfortunately, Barack Obama did indeed win the state of Indiana in 2008, but it was a narrow victory.

    *Obama-Biden (D): 49.95%

    McCain-Palin (R): 48.91%

Obama's win of Indiana was the first time (and hopefully will be the last) a Democrat won the Hoosier State since Lyndon Johnson in 1964.

  • Ron Paul 012 best choice hands down

  • Paul Ryan is the only canidate that could win

    1-He's a fresh young face

    2- he's sooo Smart !!

    3- He's calm

    PAUL RYAN !!! 2012

  • Why isn't Ron Paul included??? You can't forget the MOST CONSERVATIVE canidate of them all.

  • ron paul 2012 hes our last hope

  • you forgot to mention 98,600,000 of voting age citizens did not vote,Obama only recieved 33-34% of the voting age public vote, so that leaves 64% who did not vote for Obama, We only need about 10% of the 98,800,000 who did not vote in 2008 to vote and the liberal far-left we be voted out,

  • Gingrich and palin. Or Ron Paul and palin.

  • he did..but only thanks to Lake County..aka Little Chicago. Had it not been for them....

  • Several of the people you listed will probably not run for president.
