they actually do base some of the character's features on the voice actor. the expressions she does when she acts are portrayed in the character, so in a sense the character IS the actor

I knew it! Princess Tiana was based off Anika they look so much alike. My question was answered when I gave up on looking. I love Tiana and Anika they are so pretty.

It is the rightful honour to finally have a black princess in the classic disney family, which there should have been a long time ago! looolz
