This is an 18 year old Yundi Li's performance at the 14th International Chopin Competition in 2000.

Uncut, plays straight through two days worth of amazing performances.

====================

2:06 - Scherzo No. 2 Op. 31, in B-flat minor
11:56 - Andante Spianato preceding the..
16:28 - Grande Polonaise Brillante in E-flat major, Op. 22

25:17 - (applause)

Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, Op. 11
28:47 - I: Allegro maestoso
49:15 - II: Romance, Larghetto
59:07 - III: Rondo, Vivace

1:08:41 (closing applause)
====================
I'm not sure which round this was, or if it was just him after he had already won, but either way these performances are flawless and amazing. Yundi Li is in my top 5 pianists of all time.

  • When it comes to music, it doesn't matter how old you are for it to sound good. Nor does it matter if you are big or small, beautiful or ugly, heavy or light, smart or dumb. As long as you are asian, it sounds perfect. Haha, just kidding, this is beautiful and amazingly performed! :)

  • @flaviodefalcao He's passionate about what he plays. Sometimes passion contorts us in funny ways

  • i got my first Chopin' impression from him when i'm a little kid.

  • But he is one of the best chopin players

  • Yundi li makes funny faces.

  • @tastyy24 You can try eBay. I bought a copy from there last Dec at a very good price. What's nice about it is it's a multi-angle DVD so you can also see the finger movement from the beginning to the end.

  • Where do I get a complete DVD/CD of the recordings of the competition?

  • I'm a chopin addict and I must admit that this guy by far is the top Chopin-ist. He really understands Chopin's tiny details as if Chopin taught him how to play himself. His soul is playing every note with every deep feeling.

    I enjoyed and loved every part of both performances ♥♫

  • He is so amazing!!!

  • Why isnt this 1 day 11 hours and 35 minutes long? :(

    No such things as too much Chopin or Yundi li

  • Bravo Yundi!!! I also enjoyed the eyebrow exercises at 56:39
