Here's part 2 of my playthrough of Powerslave (Exhumed in Europe) for the Saturn. Every Transmitter Piece and every Team Doll is collected.

Levels: Sobek Mountain Shrine, Karnak Sanctuary (Revisted), Karnak (Revisited)
Items: Sobek Mask, Life Vessel 1, Life Vessel 2

Note that these videos are edited from hours upon hours of gameplay. This is first and hopefully only game that it's a must to have an edit. Sorry. :|

You see, this game can be frustrating on the Saturn with the random powerups. Where ammo was more common on the PSX, it can be very rare on the Saturn. So this game is almost impossible to play through a stream of levels without having to die to start over.

Also, platform jumping can be quite flaky. Being near the edge of a platform can cause you to accidentally slip off.

These problems can make the game impossible at random.

  • Duke3D on the Saturn isn't Duke. It's a bare bones shooter with almost no interactivity or scripting that just looks and sounds like Duke, and is the slowest of the three (it runs at about 75% of the speed of other Duke games). Powerslave has some real gameplay issues as well. Quake may be a bit sluggish, but is very faithful to the original. It's actually more accurate than Quake on the N64.

  • @elbryan42 Duke Nukem 3D?

  • I prefered the Saturn version to the PS1 version. If only Saturn had games like this at it's release it might have fared better against the mighty PS' golden rep.

  • I wonder what happened to the developers of this game? They disappeared out of thin air after the Saturn died. Not even Mobygames have any information on them.

  • that was an awesome game played this last for 10 years ):

  • those pesky birds lol.I just got an emulator for my laptop and using this as a guide, can now play all my old saturn games, yay!thanks 4 your hardwork,
