A Nostalgic song about growing up in Brooklyn in the 50s and 60s. But people from anywhere in New York, New Jersey or any big city can relate to it.

  • I'm not from Brooklyn, my family is, but I do recall some of this from visiting there. I'll have to rely on memory, for so much of it has changed. I'm sorry to say it's not what it used to be. It has changed, for the worst, and those golden days are gone forever. So many of the new residents have no concept or respect for what it once was. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

  • @spideraxis ..Thanks....We're glad you enjoyed it...At least we have our memories of a great time and place to remember.....

  • I like LanzaFan I grew up in the bushwick section. I lived on Weirfield St off Evergreen Ave, I went to Halsey Jr. HS. There was a gang who's members were older than me at the time they were called the Halsey Bops. They were rough but they looked out for us younger guys in the neigborhood. My family moved in Dec 1958 to Ozone park Queens where I later grew up. Great memories on this video.

  • @MVITAC Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed the video.....

  • Nicely done, I grew up in Brooklyn, Williamsburg in the 50's and 60's. My memories are strong and always with me. My wife grew up in Brooklyn too, Crown Heights.

  • I grew up in Bushwick on Broadway and Saratoga Ave. Lived on Jefferson and Cornelia and Halsey Strs in the 50/60s. Now on SI I never go back as the area is ghetto ridden and unsafe. However, they were great days and good mems.
