@Plektrum4 my gerbils can do that now :P i walk around my house with it in the hoodie pocket with its head sticking out, or in my hood but before anyone says it cruel, i watch it very carefully and it sits and watches the tv with me sometimes. im going to put another video up soon with it :)

Me and my brother's gerbils sleeps in our hands :p so with a bit of practice they will get more and more comfortable. they can even sleep in my hood on the shirt while i am walking around in the house :p

My gerbils are like that

@CherubHorse They can be skittish at times but mine do sometimes sit on my hands and nibble seeds, so it is possable :) if you get them, handle them everyday since you got them and they ill be as tame as this :)

If I get a gerbil, I'm gonna try sooo hard to get it as tame as my old hammies. Will it ever sit in my hand quietly and nibble on seeds? Or will it always be skittish?
i recommend a large glass tank (1meter long) for gerbils. you can put more litter in, therefore the gerbils can dig and build caves (and they won't nibble on the bars so much ^^). cages are not really recommended for gerbils.
when i had my first gerbils, they were in a cage and within days they had nibbled through the plastic bottom of the cage ;) so beware!

@summerday1983 we did think about a large glass tank but because we have a 1m20cm long fish tank beside it, we cant fit it in :/ the gerbils we've had havent chewed out the bottom but the creamey on in this film did escape by chewing the plastic tray. we keep them in the livingroom so there used to activity n a room instead of being in a bedroom locked away all day which is quite sad :/ thanks for your advice tho! kirstin x
