El Sereno, Mi Pueblo

Team Green takes it to the streets at the Bicentennial Parade in El Sereno, July 4, 2007. Devoting every second Sunday of the month to a DIY street clean-up, the seventh and eighth grade class at Academia Semillas del Pueblo teach the community a lesson about public stewardship and social responsibility. I live in East LA but I got cousins and a aunt whole lives in El Sereno and they tell me they hear gun shots every so often. I thought ELA was pretty bad! I don't hear or see anything out the ordinary here.

Moved to El Sereno right b4 I started middle school. Graduated from Wilson, of course. Town is beautiful. Palm trees and green hills everywhere......all the beautiful people are what really make the place so charming, though.
