The "my Muslim faith" by then-Sen. Obama was not a mistake. He was giving McCain credit for not talking about "my [alleged] Muslim faith," but the interviewer didn't understand his point and "corrected" him. (McCain had no motivation to accuse Obama of "Christian faith" but refrained from following his more intemperate supporters in accusing Obama of being a secret Muslim. )
