Awesome album. . . for some reason only a few songs are on here, so i am uploading the whole damn album!!!!

Lyrics:

The perfect prey
Deliverance of your end
The rebellion commands
Your doom has now been sealed

Devious Instinct
The killing of all future
Resistance failing
Vindictive torture
The storm churns violent
no one stands in the eye!

Resuscitate
Led to the edge of your life
To be struck down
Inflicted punishing blows
Infiltrate
Altering cells defusing your mind
The regime of hate
This vengeance cannot be denied

Calculated crimes
There's no defense
This temptation will destroy your life
Retaliation can't commence

The dream which you have has been fading into none
The war that you face has been waged by a fallen world

DEVIOUS INSTINCT!
The slaughter has now begun
Resistance failing
Vindictive torture
The storm churns violent
no one stands in the eye!

Calculated crimes
There's no defense
This temptation will destroy your life
Retaliation can't commence

The dream which you have has been fading into none
The war that you face has been waged by a fallen world

Devious Instinct
The killing of all future
Resistance failing
Vindictive torture
The storm churns violent
no one stands in the eye!
Biography:

Monstrosity is a floridian death metal band from the USA. The band formed in 1990 by Lee Harrison (drummer).

One of the first innovative bands to arise from the Tampa-Death-Metal scene. George Corpsegrinder Fishers performed vocal duties in this band before joining Cannibal Corpse. Monstrosity blend an extreme sense of dissonant technicality with aggressive riffing and vocals that paint images of imminent doom. The band has had members from Cynic, Death, Malevolent Creation and Morbid Angel.

Their debut Imperial Doom came in 1992 on Nuclear Blast and set the pace of the already rapid aggressive vocals and technical guitars flowing through the songs. These received very good reviews at the time and the band drove up for another release.

The band second release, was more experimental than their first and brings the music technicality down a notch but it still proves to be one fine album. The album Millennium was released eventually in 1996 on Conquest Music.

However, the band fell again with line up changes and a different take on the musical exception taking their next album In Dark Purity to the same as the debuts direction. With heavy, catchy, aggressive riffing and hard growls to finish off the intense album.

In May of 2001, they were back offering a double dose of mayhem with a double CD entitled Enslaving the Masses. Disc one has an array of songs remixed and remastered from their previous albums. Disc two is a monumental Live album. The release was followed by an 80 date tour in the US.and Canada. The album was released in 2001 on Hammerheart Records

  • @MrGrindpower Pffff

  • One of the "not too many" Classic 90's death metal albums IMHO! Around one decade before the death-core genre... Outstanding studio and live performance, excellent musician/songwriting skills, far from boring song structures. Check out Monstrosity's other album Imperial Doom from '92, especially the Final Cremation song for a more raw Monstro quality with a different growling style.

  • @MrGrindpower yeah, that's him

  • @MrGrindpower Hurr

  • It must be so frickin awesome to play brutal ass metal like this, and basically scream out into the audience that theyre a bunch of blind idiot fuckheads who are ruining the world

  • The lyrics of this song are awesome, I interpreted them to mean people deny their own freedom because it makes them feel less responsible for the world around them. They'd rather think that the world is just essential fucked up and they cant do anything about it. Its a "Devious Instinct", because the inclination to believe it is so strong, and its so easy to exploit. My favorite line is "no one stands in the eye!" :these self deceivers are constantly reminded that they are wrong but are blind
