The Mitsubishi Outlander carries the same front end style as the Lancer. The base price for the 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander is $22,345. For this price you get a 7-passenger SUV that is powered by a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 168 horsepower and 167 lb-ft, of torque. The small sized engine allows the Outlander to get great fuel economy numbers at 23 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway. There is also a 3.0 liter V-6 engine available that has 230 horsepower and 215 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is also pretty good on the V-6 at 19 MPG in the City and 26 MPG on the highway.

You can expect the 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander to provide responsive steering, the engine has some kick, and the overall driving experience is enjoyable. At less than $30k the high end trim levels have a high level of comfort and luxury. The optional AWD system is great in tough weather. If you want an SUV that looks sporty and provide a great value; the Outlander is a perfect choice.

I was worried, I was thinking, wow they totally ruined the Outlander, but its the Sport that catches my eye.
