OCT 2011 update:

I uploaded this video when I joined a little known site called "YouTube" in 2006 (remember those days?). To try this cool new idea out, I searched my computer and found the only video file I thought was worth uploading. That video happened to be Mahnahmahnah.

I want to clarify have never made a cent off of uploading this video onto a free site on the world wide web. Do you see any ads on my pages? No. Don't get me wrong, I have had offers. I ignore them. I never intended to infringe on copyright - only to share smiles.

I left this video on its own, only to check back every once in a while and see that the views were exploding! The tune was popping up everywhere - in commercials, in famous youtubers videos, in video responses etc. I was humbled by the rise in site honors (back when they were still doing that? Do they still do that? I don't know, I'm never on here) and I periodically browse through the comments and mark unuseful spam.

More months passed, and I noticed the comments were getting pretty angry and hateful. I had no idea what was going on. Without notice or even a simple message, I realized the sound on the video - after 4 years and mass recognition - had been muted.

Please don't think me criminal. Please do not take your anger out on me. I am very very sorry for the inconvience - but I am not about to take this video down. It is my history - and I see this as an example and almost as an anti-WMG statement.

I see your comments and agree. If only WMG saw the true advertising potential of videos on YouTube, and that this video actually helped raise it's popularity instead of lose money. Is there an option somewhere to buy JUST a Mahnahmahnah clip? I think not.

Please do not rip music off of youtube videos. Test drive them on Youtube, then purchase them honorably. Thanks.
