Depilatory waxes are blends specially designed for hair removal, some are soft waxes ( requiring a depilatory strip), some waxes set up hard and do not require a strip. The blue wax seen in this video is considered a 'hard' wax. Ingredients vary a lot depending on the manufacturer. There are a few common ingredients with candle wax, but most ingredients are different than that of a candle.

Waxing may remove a few clogged pores, but is not recommended for that purpose. Thanks for asking!

Laser treatment is used for hair removal as well. I recommend this done by a licensed dermatologist. Certain areas are best treated by specialty lasers. Less busy dermatologists, or those simply economizing may attempt to make a single laser or two work for too many jobs.
