Our Commitment, Inc founder and Gifts to the World project founder, Elwin Rutledge was literally moved to tears and truly devastated much like hundreds of millions, if not billions of fans world-wide at the news of Michael Jacksons passing. Mr. Rutledge, a long-standing humanitarian is an accomplished singer, writer and producer who did not hesitate to co-write and produce the Michael Jackson Tribute Song entitled; Gifts to the World.
Mr. Rutledge has stipulated that 100% of the proceeds from the song project will be donated to charity in the spirit of Michael Jacksons lifetime humanitarian commitment.
Our Commitment, Inc of Los Angeles / Beverly Hills, California in association with the Official Michael Jackson Fan Club / MJJ Productions, the U.S. Postal Volunteers of Los Angeles along with co-beneficiary, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles have joined forces for a series of events, recording projects and ongoing commemorative activities under the banner of Gifts to the World movement to preserve the memory and magnify the charitable mission, legacy and humanitarian works of legendary performer and philanthropist, Michael Jackson.
Additional national supporters include the critically acclaimed artist designer and project co-founder Don Thornton of Akron, Ohio, along with project video and film work producer Valerie McConnell, project marketing executive Dan Pettegrew, project co-executive coordinator, Jacqueline Dear, network associate Treasure Owens and well-known California marketing consultant Willie James.
Participating organizations include the Urban Guardians Partnership, P.O.W.E.R.S. Women's Network, Sheila Fergusons Rising Star Awards, Hoops R Us Incorporated, Sports for Life Charity and Help 4 Hunger Incorporated.
Very popular Michael Jackson Illusionist "Scorpio" has come on board the project along with legions of Michael Jackson fans, supporters and volunteers inspired to dynamically come together in harmony to Promote Eternal Peace, Love & Unity in honor of the late incomparable music icon and internationally loved King of Pop, Michael Joseph Jackson.
