i agree. i have a 96 SE that has the vq30de in it wich was on the top engine a while back. but the vq engine is beast. the vq35 in the newer maximas has 290hp stock wich is beast. statistically they're amazing cars i can't understand why theyre so under rated. it doesnt matter so much to me tho. id take my maxima over a civic any day.

@purplemonkey122 Maxima is an all purpose 4DSC. Its not a fuckin civic. Its fast, light, roomy, and riliable. Tons of aftermarket support.

This is a follow up. The grey car in this video is gone, but the new Red 4th gen maxima shares exactly the same motor and all the old racing parts off the 2k2. The nitrous system, slicks, suspension etc... All on this new car.

Good, he just ran 11.8 @ 114 with this very car on a 50 shot. Without nitrous it runs 12.3 @ 112 so it's quite a bit faster now. He is gonns slap a 200 shot on it October this year and try for a low 11 second pass, shouldn't be hard. I'll post that video as a follow up to this one then.
