This video demonstrates the last step to install Oracle Grid Infrastructure 11g R2 (11gR2) in preparation for a RAC in Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.4. We successfully perform this with no errors or warnings, fully utilizing Global Naming Service (GNS) and Cluster Time Synchronization Service (CTSS) in VMWare with 2 simulated nodes.

  • I enjoyed your class in SF last October. I have a blown LDOM with ORacle 11.2.0.1 and the root.sh blew up at the end with the dreaded 2011-04-14 12:23:19: Found 5 configured voting files

  • Fantastic video. My root.sh script failed at the end due to some plugin issue. But I could see the asm processes running. I could finally query the ASM status using sqlplus.
