Yes, cutting PVC (and vinyl specifically) is no fun to do with laser because of the chlorine but I wonder if mylar would have worked for the same application instead.

There´s a health issue with cutting vinyl with a laser!

The machine will suffer and also your lungs.

I thought a blu-ray 405nm laser gives off a more violet colored light. This one looks just like 445nm would. In any case, this is pretty incredible: my 160mW red laser cannot even put a dent on anything light-colored , let alone white.

So, is this a laser from a Blu-ray burner or a Blu-ray reader?
